oxymoron: conjoining contradictory terms (as in 'deafening silence')

been having a few english language lessons. hmm. haha.

was just thinking about this. as two people get together, whether in marriage or even just in a relationship, they are effectively joining their worlds as well. their habits, their friends especially, and of course, their families. based on personal experience, as well as some observations, it can be pretty difficult to integrate into 'another world'. wow wee. sudddenly you have to try to make more people like you. hmm. would it be better, then, if the couple shares common friends to start with?? then again, what happens if things don't turn out well?? acrimonious partings especially, make good fodder for cold war.

cold wars are no fun. make peace, not war.
